About Orientation

Welcome New Roadrunners

We are excited to welcome new students to Butte College.      Orientation is required for all new students and will take place  during the Winter of 2024 for all incoming students registering for Spring 2024.

Who Attends Orientation?

Orientation is mandatory for almost all New Students & New Transfer-In Students and is considered part of the enrollment process at Butte College.  If you think you may be exempt from orientation, please refer to the Orientation Exemption Page to verify.  Students enrolling in courses for the Summer Term are exempt from Orientation.

If you are a K-12 student, you are exempt from completing Orientation.  To take classes, you must have a Concurrent Enrollment Permission form on file by the deadline.

What to Expect From Orientation?

Orientation is an excellent way for new students to become familiar with the campus, academics,  registration, student services and student life. We are here to welcome our newest Roadrunners to the Butte College community.
